When I die, I will still be with you
by Ron Scolastico, Ph.D.
ronscolastico.com
Ron Scolastico, Ph.D. has worked with many people whose loved ones have died and who are sad because they do not sense the presence of their deceased loved one. Recently he was asked the following question. I hope you find the answer helpful.
QUESTION: “Often, people will vow that, after their death, they will contact and ‘never leave’ their loved one after they die. However, more often than not, the surviving person does not feel the presence of the deceased loved one. Why is this?”
ANSWER: It is because of perception within the human who is still living. If they could rise up to the perspective of the one who made that promise before death, they would see that the one who died has not left them. That one is still with them. But, the humans who are still alive are limited in their perceptions, therefore, they do not perceive the one who has died with their physical senses.
Since the one who has died no longer has a physical form that can be perceived by the living one, the living one understandably believes, “My loved one has gone. They have vanished. They are not present.” However, they are present, but in a different form that is not perceived through the physical senses-seeing a physical body, feeling a touch or hearing words spoken through a vocal mechanism of a physical body.
Another challenge is that the souls do not speak in words of any human language. So, when the deceased one is present to the living one and is communicating, that communication is not in words spoken aloud, or in words placed into the mind of the living one. That communication is done through quite extraordinary spiritual “energies” that you might call intuitive feelings.
If the living one could live through the disappointment of not perceiving the deceased one in the tangible way that they are used to, then they could practice silent periods of aligning with the soul of the deceased one. In time, they would be able to feel the presence of the soul of the deceased one as an inner movement of what you might call love, or a spiritual presence, or the sense of a loving being existing beside them. This would be extremely comforting and inspiring.
No matter what a living human would promise to do after their death, most living humans are not enlightened in a way that they will have a complete perception of what will occur to their consciousness after the death of their physical body. They do not realize that they will become an eternal soul, unlimited by time or distance, who will stand beside the living loved ones and communicate with them in essentially invisible ways. So, while alive, they make their promise with good intentions, with what they know in a limited awareness, saying, “I will manifest to you after my death and you will know that I am present.” Both living ones believe that that means a normal manifestation to the human senses that will be similar to what they are used to in the physical world.
To be truly accurate, an enlightened living person making such a promise to a loved one before their death would say, “After my death, I will be even closer to you and more real, in the deepest sense. But, you will need to break through the human limitations of perception in order to experience me in that deeper, truer way.”

We Are The Angels: Angels In The Flesh
by Christine Breese, Ph.D.
christinebreese.com
We are the angels we have been looking for. We are the source of love on this planet. We are the helpers of others who are here. We are the ones who answer each other’s prayers, really. The angels aren’t outside of ourselves. We are the incarnation of angels who have come here to dream the life of a human.
We are not fallen angels, we are not punished angels, and we are not “messed up” angels. We came here by choice because we are interested in the human experiment, this attempt to build a vehicle that can hold God’s consciousness, which each of us are. The human form will someday hold far more consciousness than it does now. In the meantime, we can know that we are God, we are angels, and we are Oneself immersed in its imaginings.
Those of us who want to help the world, help the people awaken and change things for the better, we are starting to dream lucidly, living a lucid life. Many angels are still asleep. Many don’t know who they really are. It doesn’t change the fact that they too are God incarnate, angels in human bodies. All that is different for some over others is that they have begun to question reality and explore consciousness itself.
So what do we do here as angels? First we must stop taking it all so seriously, even as challenges and unpleasant things come and go. After all, it is but a passing dream in the mind of God, and it lasts for the blink of an eye compared to the eternity that we really live in.
Second we must do the work that burns in our hearts. Whatever it is, the world will be better for it if we can help others, no matter how few or how many, doesn’t matter. If you are here, you are an angel in the flesh with the ability to change reality. You are incarnate as a human, but your true identity is that you are everlasting consciousness living in the eternal now moment and no moment can harm you. You are here to do a certain thing in the world that no one else can do, and what it is only you can find out.
Get in touch with the angel inside you and live your life as an angel would. We are all angels with a special talent or gift that will make it possible for us to make the world a better place.
Maybe your gift is being the best possible parent, an inventor, or perhaps an artist or gardener. You don’t have to be famous and powerful to make a difference in the world. Start just by affecting those around you for the better as an angel in their midst, in disguise as a human. You are no mere mortal. You are eternal Godself in the flesh. It takes some getting used to when you realize this, but then your whole life changes for the better when you realize yourself as an angel in the flesh.

Spirituality and the Presence of Dragonfly
by Estee Taschereau
SelfGrowth.com
Dragonflies are ancient insects dating back over 180 million years old. In the USA alone there are over 650 species of dragonflies in the US alone. These amazing creatures have been a symbol of grace in teachings of Feng Shui, and a symbol in shamanism for transformation and seeing in a new light.
Dragonflies spend their first two years in the water as nymphs. Then they climb from the water and transform completely into winged insects with great agility and speed. Their agility in flight is similar to that of the hummingbird, another powerful totem spirit.
During its two year incubation cycle in the water the dragonfly sheds up to fifteen skins. The dragonfly also holds the qualities of the water, contributing to its grace. Water holds deep seated thoughts, emotions, and the yin quality of introspect.
Since the dragonfly life cycle encompasses both the waters and the sky this creature is tied to our own transformational abilities. The key is to remember that any transformation, to be complete, takes time.
Dragonflies possess the spectrums of color in their transparent wings and their vision. We can bring focus to the great spectrum of luminous colors available to us through our higher spiritual presence. The multi-faceted eyes of a dragonfly also show us that anything can be seen from different perspectives, even the illusions of life.
In our own spiritual journey we can bring in many spiritual totems to represent a quality we seek to embellish in our life. The totem of a dragon fly can mean gaining greater understanding of our life long transformation process, with patience for what is known and yet to be discovered.
The dragonfly totem is a great focal point for a meditation. You can bring in the transformational quality of the dragonfly, with clarity of perception within the moment, and the grace of the overall transformation we create in our lives.

~Invisible Forces in Your Life~
Imagine an Angel Sitting on Your Shoulder
and Whispering in Your Ear
by © Cindy L. Herb
cherbchronicles.com
Are invisible forces guiding you in your life? Imagine an angel of God sitting on your shoulder. What do you think that angel would say? Would he or she offer constructive or destructive help?
Well, from my own personal experiences, it does appear an angel—the inner spirit of God—has been providing me constructive aid during my life. Even through extreme difficulties, that angel of God never left me. He or she has given me solace during those times and has continually steered me in the right direction to allow me to feel joy!
Maybe he or she is not on my shoulder, but that invisible force definitely is around because I have heard their voice whispering in my ear. Nothing but love and compassion comes from the voice. In addition, when I listen to the voice, good things happen!
Sometimes, it takes listening to your angel to find peace. The truth is that when you are at your lowest point, a solution to your ache may present itself to you. This was the case with me. At the time, I was isolated and in extreme pain. The prospect of living with that pain was worse than death. I began to wish that my life would end. Perhaps you have felt similar pain.
If you allow it, something incredible can happen to change your life for the better! In my situation, I heard a voice from deep within telling me that I could change directions and make my pain go away. Simple adjustments in thinking can melt away any pain. My angel was guiding me to a path of rediscovery. Death was not the answer. Because of this understanding, I have been able to change my life, ending my isolation and pain.
Hey, listening to your inner spirit can be very good! By tuning into that 'angel', I now have true joy and incredible improvement in my physical health. The fact that it worked proves that resolution is possible.
Do you suppose there is an angel sitting on your shoulder? Could it be possible that you found this article, not by accident? Could your angel or inner spirit have guided you here?

2012 and Your Higher Self - What's the Connection?
By Christine Hoeflich
WhatEveryoneBelieved.com
Some people are wondering what reconnecting and integrating with your higher self has to do with "2012." In fact, a woman in my own email community questioned me about this connection. In this article I hope to explain that the relationship with your higher self has everything to do with 2012, including the Mayan calendar end date of December 21, 2012, and the rare astronomical alignments occurring at that time.
Simply stated, 2012 is about raising your consciousness about your personal journey (gaining personal-level understanding of your life story) as well as the larger human journey (collective-level understanding of humanity's history) and you can't get to that awakened state if you don't reconnect and integrate with your higher self.
Some background information: we have been operating in a state of "fallen consciousness" on this planet for millennia (or more) and it is time to "graduate" from that state. If you contemplate the astronomic alignment of the Earth, its North Pole axis, the Sun and the galactic equator that will occur on December 21, 2012, you will see that what is about to happen on the outer level is simply a reflection of and a metaphor for what is about to occur on the inner level of many individuals--a realignment towards "galactic light" or "inner light." Now of course you can't do anything about astronomic alignments, but you can shift your "North Pole" towards your higher self. In other words, your higher self can begin to be your "North Pole"--which is what will activate the raising of your consciousness and eventual "graduation."
There are basically two ways to view a situation: from "normal" human awareness, and from higher-level awareness accessed through your higher self. For example, you can create a vision for your life based on what you happen to want in the moment (normal human awareness), or you can connect to what your higher self already planned for you (your higher life plan) and trust your inner guidance and the divine design to get you to a "happy ending."
It is much harder to do the latter because you will not see how you will get to that happy ending. Furthermore, this higher life plan will not be conscious to you, but will be shown to you on an as-needed basis. Most likely, you will only see your next step, and even that may take some time for you to get clear on because you will be dealing with the conflict between your old, normal way of doing things (your habits and what you've known to be true for years and decades) and what your inner guidance is guiding you to do now. You will be tested and will have to learn to trust the unfolding. And--that takes fortitude and courage.
But if you happen to be in a crisis you don't know how to deal with effectively (which most everyone is in now in one form or another), you may be tempted to do the work and integrate with your higher self.
The crises that we are going through right now (both individually as well as on a larger scale) have absolute perfect timing. They are divine catalysts for change--change that will happen first in your consciousness, then in your outer world. They force you to look within yourself much deeper--which is where you will find the solutions. (Divine design works perfectly like this.) And by integrating your higher self into your life by following through with your inner guidance, you will make the changes that will slowly show up as changes in your outer circumstances.

This sounds like work, and it is. But there is no other way; there is no magic bullet (or some avatar or saviour who will come to save you.) This is the process that will create the Golden Age that is "promised" to you that is to begin around the end of 2012. (And this is the process that connects you to "Christ consciousness," if you prefer that terminology.)
All those other things connected to 2012--the Mayan calendar, the galactic alignment and the Precession of the Equinoxes, channeled messages from the higher realm--are associated with 2012, but they're not going to cause the raising of consciousness that will bring the Golden Age into your inner world first, and then into your outer world. (The channeled messages may advise you to reconnect to your higher self and listen to your inner guidance, but they can't do it for you; you still have to do the process.) All these interesting trivia are helping to point you to a higher consciousness but they are not the experience of higher consciousness.
During the reconnecting and integrating process, you receive glimpses of higher consciousness and insights that add up over time, allowing you to begin to see the world from a completely new place. Then you are no longer limited by religious beliefs, outdated philosophies, or even scientific and medical inconsistencies. Your grasp of reality becomes clearer and more accurate--enabling you do deal with it more effectively. Furthermore, your "spirituality" (a loaded word that's been taken to mean all sorts of strange things) becomes integrated, real, and not only reserved for special "holy" days or places. Finally, the nonsense is taken out of spirituality, and you become the real you.
Do not let the interesting trivia about 2012 distract and confuse you. They are merely pieces of a puzzle that, anyway, can only be solved by synthesizing the higher consciousness. The mysteries of 2012 can only be solved from this higher level perspective.

You're As Old As Your Thoughts
By Joyce Shafer
joyceshafer.com
“You are old, Father William,” the young man said, “And your hair has become very white; and yet you incessantly stand on your head—do you think, at your age, it is right?” (From the works of Lewis Carroll)
George Berkeley said, “Our youth we can have but today. We may always find time to grow old.”
While out walking, I saw a woman people might call elderly coming towards me. Her appearance was crisp, put together well. As we passed, I said, “You look great!” I heard a delightful sound and turned. She was bent over at the waist, laughing. I won’t share what she said, but I witnessed her energy shift from “senior citizen” to that of a delighted teenage girl.
I hear people make statements about growing old that include various beliefs, especially that we have to expect physical and mental malfunctions. Yet, there are some who defy this “fact,” and it’s not just a matter of genetics. Granted, stuff happens; but how many people actually make a point of doing more of what keeps body, mind, and spirit healthy (younger) than not? We don’t have to be monastic in order to stay in balance. Taoists are proponents of moderation in all things as opposed to complete denial. I agree with them.
It’s inaccurate to say, “This is what happens when you get old.” Accurate is, “This is what may happen when you don’t maintain and detox your body, mind, and spirit on a regular basis.” It’s what happens when you choose to believe it’s what happens. We agree to it. What might happen if we agreed to the opposite?
Being old is not limited to chronology. I know people who act old even in their youth. I tend to relate youthfulness to flexibility. It was said so long ago, I no longer remember who coined the phrase, “Hardening of the Attitudes,” but it’s a good one. Fixed attitudes and beliefs are harmful to our health. It’s like a stagnant pond versus the replenished freshness of a flowing stream.
Our bodies may mature, but we don’t have to become old before our time, or at any time on an inner level. We age more quickly when we don’t take care of our bodies, when we don’t detox on a regular basis, when we resist change which is inevitable. Living a rigid or fear-based life ages us as fast as an overly-toxic body.
Within each of us is a quality of youthfulness if we only allow it to express itself. We can still be responsible adults as we continue to learn and grow, and deliberately have fun with our lives. What we perceive as negative, happens. We can focus on the negative and grow old long before we should or we can rejuvenate ourselves if we agree to see a gift in the moments of our lives and opt to be as fluid as possible in how we relate to them.
Rigid or flexible, the choice is ours. Whatever we choose shows in our faces, bodies, and our lives. No surgery, medicine, or expensive cream can change this.
You can choose to put your best face forward (and even stand on your head!).
