The substance used for the bowls is a kind of sand, found in several places in the world, called "silica sand" that is pure quartz in nature. The bowls are made of silicon quartz. The sand is dropped into a centrifugal force spinning mold, and at the proper instant, in the center of that mold, there is an electric arc torch that is ignited to several thousand degrees centigrade. It integrates the individual particles of sand into an amorphous unified whole, which goes from being crystalline in nature to being amorphous - or glass - in nature.
Some bowls are clear. Some are frosted. Bowls can be created that will play to a certain frequency. Clear bowls are lighter, more expensive and play best when held in the hand.
Crystal bowl music can be programmed. Quartz crystal as a holographic light template is able to hold, transmit, and receive thought forms and is fundamental to the memory "mother boards" of all computers.
Crystal bowls are accompanied by a wooden stick that is covered at the end with suede. The stick is moved around the crystal bowl in a circular fashion to produce different tones. The suede end touches the bowl. It takes practice to learn how to hold the stick and move it to get the correct resonance...Crystal bowls usually rest on a rubber "O Ring" base. As you move the stick around the perimeter of the bowl it creates a harmonic tone that becomes stronger as you go around each time. The bowl quickly appears to be singing.A particular size of bowl may be available in more than one note or tone. This varies with weight, wall height, and wall thickness.
Crystal bowls create a very pure wave form a sine wave form. This pure sine wave form carries through physical objects quite well. The human body has quite a lot of resonation potentials within it.
One reason the pure tones vibrate our body is that it has a natural affinity to quartz. The human body is composed of many crystallite substances, the bones, blood and DNA are crystalline in structure as well as the liquid crystal-..colloidal structure of the brain. Even on a molecular level, our cells contain silica, which balances our electromagnetic.. energies, and this is the same formula as natural quartz crystal.
When you’re working with crystals and sound, such as with the bowls, there is a resonation - a harmonization - an integration process that goes on between the external and internal vibration. The physical properties of the crystal bowls create different tones which resonate with our subtle bodies and frequency signatures. The tones awaken cellular memories and heal on different levels.
The pure tone of crystal bowls produces a vibrational sound field which resonates the light body chakra and corresponding physical area. A series of pure crystal tone therapy facilitates the rebalancing of each receiver back into an elevated level of etheric radiance.
Clear quartz contains the full spectrum of light that is related to the seven energy centers (chakras) and thus heals the listener by bringing pure light through sound as specific color back into the human aura. The effect is multiplied as the crystal bowls are played.
Crystal acts as an oscillator, magnifying, and transmitting pure tone. This is why pure silicon crystal is used in all of our most advanced telecommunicati..on systems.Like a powerful radio transmitter, the crystal bowls transmit energy into the atmosphere, filling a person’s aura with vibrational radiance which translates into the seven main colors of the rainbow.
Through the pure crystal tones as the sound effects brain wave activity one can travel into an altered state of consciousness. As different parts of the brain are affected, it is probable that they release different hormones and neuro-..chemicals which can suppress pain, strengthen willpower in one’s creative talents and overcome addictions...This was found that among the wave patterns of different singing bowls there is a measurable wave pattern which is equivalent to the alpha waves produced by the brain.
Quartz crystal music holds the vibration of white light which ultimately refracts into the rainbow and acts directly on our chakra’s when played. It has the power to bring about a positive shift in our consciousness and as our awareness expands, we crow close to our original selves and start to reflect the highest radiance in our physical form. Crystal is able to maintain the balance of electromagnetic.. energies between the north and south poles. It is extremely accurate and consequently the foundation of timekeeping systems in all our contemporary watches is quartz crystal. The same electromagnetic.. field exists within all life forms.
Clear quartz integrates the balance our own electromagnetic.. energies. The size of the bowl can attune to a specific sound or chakra vibration.
Talk about hype scaring people away! Ascension takes the prize! Ascension is perceived as a high and lofty goal—yet reserved for someone else to do! Not me! … Why not?
People shy away from the aspiration to Ascend because the notion of Ascension is greatly misunderstood. Many folks think "Ascension" means that they will be rising above the 3rd dimensional Earth plane and thereby having to leave behind their loved ones and life as they know it.
This scenario is the Ascension that our Minds would have us believe! So that we will not even consider such a radical step as Ascending. What an effective con job of the Mind. Until now!
People are catching on. As people's hearts open, they realize that Ascension is as down-to-earth as being a good neighbor. Every time people notice that they hurt someone with their unconscious words or actions— that they might have been kinder—they are Ascending their awareness.
And, most importantly, people are understanding that Ascension does not mean we have to depart our beloved body, family, friends and planet.
Stay and Create Heaven on Earth
Ascension is not about leaving. It is about staying. It is about staying and creating Heaven on Earth. Ascension is an organic step-by-step, level-by-level progression right here in our own backyard. We Ascend by clearing our conditioned unconscious emotional blockages one layer at a time. As each layer is cleared, we attain a new level of Awakened Consciousness and understanding. We become less judgmental—thus.. more compassionate.
After our consciousness shifts, our physical body follows suit. Then our external reality begins to reflect back the new consciousness that we are expressing. Thus, the collective planetary physical reality slowly shifts also. The end result is Heaven on Earth!
We never go away anywhere. We evolve here gracefully with our bodies, family, friends and Mother Earth.
The Choice to Awaken
Ascension is the natural, on-going evolutionary process of all Creation. As eternal Spiritual Beings, we are created by God to evolve through experience. When we choose to incarnate in the dense physical 3rd dimension, we descend. We come to Earth again and again in order to explore, learn and master this most challenging of dimensions. We come because this choice greatly accelerates our spiritual evolution and ultimate happiness. The only problem is, we fall asleep in this realm of heavy, dense matter. We get bogged down in materiality, thinking that this physical plane is our total reality. We forget that we come into incarnation in order to return to the Spiritual Realms with added wisdom and compassion. This intention to return home to our Awaken State is Ascension.
Personal and Planetary Awakening
On an individual level, Ascension is the process of changing one's consciousness from one reality, based on one set of beliefs, to another. On a group or planetary level, Ascension is the collective expansion of a state of consciousness—a.. set of beliefs—to the point where that consciousness creates a new reality—a new state of being or dimension. Ascension is used to describe the very real possibility that you can, within your lifetime, transform your heavy, dense 3rd dimensional physical form into a lighter, more fun 5th dimensional form—right here in Kansas!
Not Really So Far Out
The opportunity exists now to increase the vibratory rate of the molecular structure of the physical body. As in all new things presented to humanity, the idea may seem "way out" and impossible. Yet not so long ago, talking to someone thousands of miles away—or walking on the moon—would have seemed impossible!
No Effort Required
Believe it or not, erasing the habits of lifetimes is surprisingly simple and easy. The natural tendency of your consciousness is to rest in the perfect peace of your own True Nature. All you need do is stop choosing the downward-..spiraling habits of judgment and limitation—and begin choosing the Ascending and infinitely expanding qualities of compassion and wisdom. Enlightenment is a movement of Grace from the Divine, a blossoming from within. Ascension is not the result of effort by our calculating ego.
As one of my teachers loves to remind me, "What does it take to become what you have always been? How long does it take to become what you have never not been?" Hmmmm. A no-brainer!
A Time of Choice
The human race has a golden opportunity at this time to make a choice about the kind of world in which we wish to live. A planet of peace and love—or the turbulent chaos we experience now on Earth.
An Evolutionary Opportunity
At this special time of Planetary Evolution, the possibility exists for every individual to move from a reality based on materialism and separation to one based within the Heart Center and Oneness of all life. This option is available on such a broad scale to all humanity because the Earth herself is Ascending. In the past we had to pursue Ascension without the benefit of the planet's increasing frequency to assist our own momentum towards Ascension. Not any longer. Now we can surf the evolutionary wave of the planet's journey home. Wheeee!
Learning through Limitation
We came into the current 3rd dimensional reality on Earth in order to master compassion and understanding by means of experiencing every conceivable situation in life—ranging from scarcity and struggle to wealth and power. Many folks now feel they have learned sufficiently in this realm. They are choosing to release the various patterns belonging to limitational learning and move up to higher levels of exploration.
Linking with the Divine
Anyone may choose at this time to re-link with Divine Source, release patterns of judgment and separation, and move into the loving place of the heart. This intention does require real dedication and resolve. It is achieved by following Spirit without hesitation in any given moment. Success involves following the heart and moving only with what feels intuitively right, usually accompanied by inner attraction or excitement.
Release Old Beliefs in Separation
Embrace the higher motivation of Unity and release the old belief systems that tie you to separation and fear. Set your intent to be open and to re-evaluate even the truths that have served you thus far. Make your choices consciously with Spirit on your shoulder. Embrace transformation and understand that all change leads to a higher vibration. Have the courage to break free of the chains that hold you to the old fear structure and watch as the tide magically turns.
An Individual Adventure
We are all experiencing Ascension a little differently, each in our own unique manner. Though there are some universal criteria for Ascension—such as emotional clearing—no particular way is the "right" way.
Important choices are being made across the Earth by everyone. A wonder-filled new world dawns on the horizon, bathed in the splendor of the Gold Ray of the Unified Consciousness, as we who choose it so, come home. Freedom is a decision away and the time to make that choice is Now. Miracles knock on your door! Can you say, "Come in!"
Many of us have had past lives in monastic environments, religious orders, secret sects and so on. Some of us will have made strong vows in the name of God with much emotion and determination, believing that they were right, and perhaps they were for us at that time. A vow made with strong intent carries over into other lifetimes unless a time limit is specified, which is usually not the case.
We may have made vows of chastity, celibacy, poverty, silence, suffering, cleanliness and purity. We may have made other vows, such as a vow of everlasting love or of vengeance against someone who hurt or tricked us. Often we find ourselves playing out those vows in later lifetimes. For example, we may keep playing that "vengeance card" again and again until we let it go. All these prior vows are limitations that can constrict our souls and restrict our freedom.
For example, you may have had a lifetime where you fell very much in love with someone and it was mutual. The pair of you made a pact of everlasting love. As great as this may sound, there are some slight problems here. The first is that your soul sees love as universal and not restricted to one person. The second is that the vow limits you to this one soul as a partner every lifetime. The key word here is "limit." In each future life when you find yourself in a relationship and it's not with your avowed true love, it doesn't feel right; something is missing. In this situation, until you break the vow and move on, you will find loving someone else quite difficult.
This is not to say that some prior vows are not serving you well, for they may be. Vows to work towards or with God specifying no fixed path are helpful.
All of this applies to judgments as well as vows. We can make judgments against ourselves as well as others. Judgments are different from vows, however, for a vow is usually made with a great deal of emotion. A judgment is made rationally and usually in situations where you think you know better than someone else; you are right and they are wrong. Judgments need to be broken also.
Pacts, contracts and agreements are made specifically between people (beings) at particular times. These can be made on different levels, not just the physical. For example, you are in a battle. You are killed with your friends and in spirit form you meet each other and make an agreement as a group to get revenge on the person who just defeated you. Thus, every so often you would incarnate as a group trying to satisfy your desire for revenge against this other person. Until you break the vow, you will remain stuck in this repetitive revenge cycle.
To break past life vows, pacts and judgments, try the following prayer/..affirmation:
"From my Heart and with all my Being, I invite my Divine Soul Self to fully merge with me NOW. In a good and Sacred way, I invite Divine Light into my heart and into my entire Being on all Levels. I invite the highest Divine Light Beings and all of my Divine Spirit Teachers, Healers, Guides and Guardians to work with me NOW. All that is done must be for my highest will and good and be fully in alignment with my Divine Soul essence and soul purpose. I ask that this room, the space I occupy, be completely filled and surrounded with Divine Light and Divine Love as I continue.
With Full and Total Intent, I state to Spirit that I fully and completely release and relinquish each and every vow, judgment, contract, pact, oath and agreement that I have made either with myself or others that does not now serve a true purpose and is not for the highest will and good of all. I ask that any vows and pacts made against myself be revoked also. I ask Spirit to break all of these now. This is my intention, and so it is. Thank you."
Have you ever tried to control other people? Who gets stressed out? Have you ever tried to control things or events over which you had no control? Do you find that stressful?
There are different typed of stressful situations. Some, like people interrupting you all the time, you can control. You can let the interrupters know you are busy and don't have time to talk.
Other stresses, like rush hour traffic, are usually beyond your control. But there are some things about rush hour traffic that you can personally change which may help; taking a different route, for example, or traveling at a different time. Of course, these changes are not always possible. In that case, you have to change your attitude about the situation, in order to lessen the stress. You can listen to music or educational tapes or books-on-tape. Rush hour traffic won't seem as frustrating because you'll be doing something to help keep your mind off the traffic and other drivers. In order to let go of commute stress, you have to accept the situation. You must accept that you cannot control the traffic, no matter how much you yell and gesture at other drivers to speed up. A stressful commute can ruin your whole day, don't let it! Accept that, if you are unable to change your route, or your time of travel, you are powerless over everything on the road, with the exception of your car and your attitude. Control your attitude, let go of the traffic, and you can control your stress!
You can learn to manage a great deal of your stress by asking looking at each stressor and asking yourself "Can I control it, can I change it, or do I need to learn to let it go?
The "control, change, or let go" concept is an important key to stress management. We spend too much time worrying about things over which we have no control that we have no energy left to control the things we can. We become so overwhelmed, that we feel like our whole life is out of control and we'll never catch up. Once you understand the "control, change, or let go" concept and start putting it into practice you will be able to deal much better with stressful situations.
So much of our stress comes from trying to control other people, places and things when we simply cannot. We are the ones who end up with the stress and resulting headaches! The people we try to control go home, or simply ignore us, barely giving us a thought. That's why it is so easy to build up resentments against other people in situations or jobs when we don't think we have much control. On the job, it impedes productivity and healthy teamwork. People tend to blame other people. If you are stressed out because of others, it's important to go through the steps of control, change and letting go. Unless you are ready to leave your job, family, or the planet earth, chances are you will continue working or being around the "stressful people." Ask yourself if the other person is actually a "stress carrier," or simply has a different style.
Letting go is a process. It takes time, and doesn't always happen at once just because we will it. We have to use our thoughts to control our emotions and our actions. Remind yourself that there are people and events you cannot control. All you can control is your attitude and your reactions. Its possible to change yourself-talk about the situation. Identify which stresses you can control, take appropriate action, and learn to let go of the things you can't.
Pick something in your life that stresses you out. Can you control it? If so, what can you do? Can you change it? If so, how? Perhaps you can only change or control a part of it. Do you need to let it go? If so, what can you do in order to let go?
You can view life as unexpected and exciting or you can view it as scary because you don't know what the future holds. Take charge; take control or let it go. The choice is yours!
Prophecies ranging from the ancient Maya to contemporary mystics around the world and the elders of the primary peoples, who still walk the Earth, state that this is a time of transformation.
The Maya calendar ends at the December solstice of 2012, which they perceived as being the culmination of myriad cycles of consciousness and a Shift in collective awareness, not only for ourselves but for Gaia and the entirety of our Solar - or Soular - System.
A new vision of the Cosmos is emerging which reconciles science and Spirit in a more personally empowering way than ever before. This new awareness is of a wholly interconnected, conscious and holographic universe and has radical implications for each and every one of us. For it reveals that all that we term 'reality' is wholly integrated and that we are ultimately both its creation and co-creator. And synchronistically, this understanding is unfolding as, individually and collectively, we are beginning to access our own holographic consciousness - and re-member who we really are.
We are now able to access newly available energies that transcend our personal sense of self. They liberate our perception, enabling us to release old patterns and limitations. And as we free ourselves, we are empowered to fully embody the higher purpose of our soul and to consciously co-create the emergence of a new cosmic age.
As individuals, our ego-based consciousness is mediated through seven energetic vortices or chakras. In music, the eighth note is needed to complete an octave. And so it is for us, for it is the 8th chakra, which completes the octave of our personality-based consciousness and which is the energetic portal to our higher awareness, guidance and soul level purpose. The 8th chakra is the first transpersonal chakra of the twelve-chakra energy field of our soul, whose complete attainment enables us to directly experience unity awareness. The great spiritual teachers have all avowed that this is our fundamental nature and destiny and have shown us paths to our embodiment of this, our soul-based consciousness.
We are now becoming able to expand our awareness to the compassionate level of the universal heart of our 8th chakra and access the holographic wisdom of our transpersonal, higher self.
As we do so, we re-member ourselves, and re-establish profound relationship with our human family, Gaia - the living Earth - and the wider Cosmos. Every one of us is walking our own unique path to an ultimate destination that's shared by us all. The universal heart of the 8th chakra empowers each of us to choose our own way forward in service to our cosmic destiny.
Each year at the winter solstice dawn, the Sun once more commences its yearly spiral from dark to light. From ancient times, this day traditionally welcomes the birth of the archetypal solar hero, whose outer quest and inner journey to wholeness is known and depicted by many names in mythic sagas and myriad spiritual teachings. It was never meant that the solar - or soular - hero should be worshipped; but rather, to be emulated. For every one of us has this divine potential within us. For two thousand years, the voice of that greatest of soular heroes, has gone unheeded. For Jesus said, in John 14:12 'As I do these things, so shall ye do them, and greater'. We are the ones he spoke of and each of us can now choose, with the spiritual support of the Cosmos, to undertake the journey of the soular hero.
As I'm sure you have, I've discovered that way-showers on our ongoing journey to wholeness are synchronicities and every day miracles. Such moments confirm to me that we are spiritually nurtured beyond measure. As we expand our awareness and open ourselves to the flow of the Cosmos, we're now able to directly connect with the archetypal aspects of our individual and collective psyche - and directly access spiritual guidance including the assembly of Angels and the Ascended Masters of all spiritual traditions. Together we have arrived at this threshold of transformation. The universal heart of the 8th chakra is now awakening within us and we are each able to undertake the journey of the soular hero. In doing so, we empower others and ourselves, in service with and to our cosmic destiny.
I send you love and all blessings and invite you to be a fellow traveler as together we journey HOME to birth the reality of Heaven on Mother Earth.
God's heart exists within your own heart, and as you travel along the pathways of spiritual life, your own divine nature begins to emerge and awaken. As your spiritual essence becomes more manifest, your heart begins to awaken and to seek the way Home.
A heart that longs for love, and that longs to find the way home to God, opens a pathway of light from the human, embodied self to the soul that exists eternally in the realms of spirit. This important connection creates a funnel that can transmit knowledge, love, light and comfort from the realms of spirit to your embodied self. Truly it can be said that longing is the path Home to God, for it activates all the forces of heaven and Earth to infuse you and your daily life with God's light and love.
Spiritual longing not only activates spiritual growth and transformation, but it also activates the healing of any and all inner blockages to love that may exist within your being. Pain, resentment, anger and blame that are directed towards others eventually sap the life force from our own inner light, and so at some point on the spiritual journey, we are led to the path of forgiveness.
Forgiveness is a state of being that emerges from love. Forgiveness cannot be forced, especially if you have been abused, neglected, or treated cruelly, or have suffered trauma at the hands of others. In this kind of situation, healing needs to progress in stages, first by allowing yourself to feel all the emotions that resulted from the trauma.
This first stage of forgiveness involves not an immersion in the feelings, but an allowing of them to emerge, within a space of safety. The emotions need to be held in the container of God's love. For many, this is best done with the support of others who can hold a healing space by offering you a loving and steady presence. This stage can last for a while if the traumas run deep, or can be passed through more quickly if there is sufficient light and love present to help in the transformation process.
After this phase there is a kind of lull, and a sense of emptiness, as the emotions that were held inside for so long are no longer existing within you. Like so many phases of spiritual life, one must first be emptied out before being filled with the new.
After this phase has passed, a sense of new life and hope begins to emerge naturally from the cleansing effects that happened during the period of emotional release. These emerge as seeds of the new that spring into consciousness or even appear in daily life as harbingers of a new day to come.
During this time, opportunities are given for you to review the past with fresh eyes. You may come to a deeper understanding of the meaning of the painful situations that you experienced. At this point, the opportunities for forgiveness begin to emerge. It is important to understand that these cannot be forced or manufactured.
Forgiveness can only come from a heart that is open and that has released the burden of anger and resentment fully. What this means is not that you will never feel anger or resentment again, but that you are no longer holding onto the anger. Instead, you are seeking to return to love, harmony and wholeness. You want to be released from the past so you can be free to live, love, and move forward into the new.
There are some things that we experience that are so terrible that it does not seem possible to forgive or heal from them. In this kind of situation, extra care is needed to not place judgments upon yourself. If you have experienced a severe trauma, you may not be able to experience forgiveness quite yet. You may need more time to go through the emotional healing process, and to pick up the pieces of your life, and to go deeper with your relationship with God.
To have the intention to forgive is the first step towards a complete freedom and release from the trauma. In some cases it may take time to arrive at this point. Once you are ready to be willing to forgive, your healing process has already begun.
Spiritual longing is the desire of the heart to be free, to be at one with the divine nature of our own being. Spiritual longing activates a profound process of transformation and healing that is capable to freeing us from even the deepest of traumas. Forgiveness, when it comes, is a blessing of love that releases us from the chains of the past and opens a new doorway to healing.
Forgiveness is one of God's greatest gifts, and is greatly needed in today's world. Your own healing process not only benefits you, but all those you come in contact with. As a freer and more loving being, you become more capable of being a presence of love and light for others during these very challenging times we live in. In this way, you contribute to the healing of the world, one heart at a time.
A heart that longs for love, and that longs to find the way home to God, opens a pathway of light from the human, embodied self to the soul that exists eternally in the realms of spirit. Spiritual longing not only activates spiritual growth and transformation, but also activates the healing of any and all inner blockages to love that may exist within your being. At some point on the spiritual journey, we are led to the path of forgiveness.
The healing stream is a frequency of energy that comes from the divine source. Some people call this source God, the higher self, the higher power, the divine self, the creator, the spirit, and other names. The key is that this energy exists in a higher dimensional plane of existence and it flows inter dimensionally into the mind, emotion, and body fields of each and every one of us. This divine flow provides each of us with healing wisdom, love and guidance.
When we tap into the healing stream consciously, we gain the ability to do spiritual healing and energy healing. Anyone can do spiritual healing and energy healing simply by asking to connect with the divine energies of the healing stream. When we connect with the healing stream, we connect with the divine energies and we get energized, guided, and supported, in a new way.
Connecting consciously to the divine energies of the healing stream is really about focusing attention and intention. We can intend and be attentive to our physical flow, emotional flow, and mental flow. We also can intend and attune directly to our spiritual flow.
When we focus our intention and our attention, we begin to notice little things about our bodies, emotions, minds, and spirits. We begin to notice what feels good. We also begin to notice what does not feel so good. The healing stream provides us with healing wisdom, love, and guidance so we can care for what hurts that needs our attention, respect, and love.
Many people when opening up to the healing stream find a deep connection with angels and higher vibrational guides. There are angels and guides around all of us. These angels and guides are here to help us. It is important to ask for our angels and guides to help. They help, even if they cannot stop what is happening in our lives, they do help. They comfort, guide, and support us so we get just what we need, just when we need it. Can you sense the angels around you? Do you sense other types of divine guidance around you?
Opening to the healing stream awakens our awareness to the divine all around us. It also opens us to the divine within us. We are each divine beings here in human form. We each have a unique divine vibration. When we learn to attune to, and access, our unique vibration, then we learn about our divine note. We learn to sound our divine note consciously. This accelerates our awakening and opening to our beautiful song. We can then sing our song and shine our light with joy, clarity, and confidence.
As divine beings in human form, we connect with all other beings through the healing stream of divine energy flow. Our hearts are the center, and nexus point of this flow. When you want to get centered and balanced simply go into your heart center, sound your unique divine note, and dance in the healing stream of divine energies. What amazing new ways of creating we have ahead! What amazing new levels of happiness, joy, peace, and love, we have within to share with each other as we open to the healing stream, access our divine energies, and connect with each other through our divine heart flow.
For each of us, to be a 'self' means something very personal, very different from every other. And yet there are commonalities. Throughout history, we have defined ourselves in terms of our bodily experiences and the characteristic ways in which we respond to life - our typical feelings, thoughts, and desires. This is what it has meant to be human and to be an 'I'. Now, however, due to the presence of greater spiritual light on the earth, we have the opportunity to begin to think of ourselves less as bodies or even as feelings and thoughts, and more as souls. We begin to be able to live as souls.
To live as a soul changes many things. It opens the mind of the heart that knows more than the conscious mind so that more can be felt in the way of truth about people and about life. It opens the eyes to see in a different way, so that what formerly appeared to be physical and solid, now appears as energy currents interacting with other energy currents throughout time and space and beyond. It opens the heart's love, so that the self-protective boundary that keeps us in roles within a small circle of life, can be released in favor of love's desire to share itself with all of life. This desire of the heart to extend love everywhere is supported by a greater inflow of love which comes from the higher levels of our being, making it possible to give of ourselves more because we are connected at all times with the spiritual universe and with the Source from which love comes.
This huge change in perception is created by spiritual longing, and also by the advent of greater light which makes possible an opening into other levels of awareness, including awareness of the deeper levels of who we are. Such changes are not something that the mind can think or the will intend. They are part of spiritual awakening. And while the mind and heart can prepare the way for such awakening, the opening itself is more of an act of grace than of thought, bestowed upon all who inhabit the planet at this time, especially those who are receptive to the higher vibrations of light. This light illuminates the further reaches of consciousness that have existed in shadow, so that more becomes possible now because more has become real.
The new, soul-reality brings to us a sense of participation in the vast and mysterious universe of which we are a part, and brings to everyday reality the same mystery. No longer is it possible to see events as just 'there', or to think that things happen randomly or by chance. No longer is it possible to justify hatred, violence, or the seeking of revenge, for there is no one who is not felt to be part of us - no one whose harm would not bring harm to us and whose greater wellbeing would not bring us greater good. This benevolence toward all is the soul's natural state of perception, and it lifts us out of the usual state of limitation we have lived in, creating an expanded view of life.
The great gift that we bring to the earth through the awareness of ourselves and others as souls is the gift of peace and harmony, as well as of love. For when others are seen as souls with a Divine essence and sacred purpose for being here, then we can no longer regard anyone on the basis of what they look like or where they came from. All differences diminish as compared with the common thread that binds us, permitting us to see others as brother and sister souls, as close to us as our own self. This perception is at the heart of soul-awareness, and it is this essential shift in consciousness that will enable the earth we live on to become the sacred planet it is meant to be.
Focus is the single defining attribute that will manifest ideas and dreams into reality.
Focus gives us sustained action to produce results. It allows us to move towards our goal or destination regardless of doubt, fear or external distraction. Focus is the strength to persist, the key to transforming lack of discipline into discipline. It is the “secret” to success in any area.
Without focus positive thinking will never work, ideas will never be created, conscious change will never take place.
Without focus real manifestation never gets beyond moments of inspiration. Dreams remain dreams.
Awareness is knowing where we want to go. Focus is the engine that brings us to our destination.
Focus whether used for physical or mental experience is a trait of the mind - and so it is here where it is developed and trained .
Through practice we learn to deepen our focus as well as lengthen the amount of time that we can maintain it.
I’ve outlined two methods below. They are basic and yet will if practiced regularly will bring mastery to the mind.
1. Breathe deeply into your lower abdomen allowing your mind as much as possible to “be with” the breath. Imagine your breath being infused with focused energy as it flow in and filling your body as you exhale with clear, focus.
2. Allow your breath to be natural and simply observe the rise and fall of your abdomen and front torso area as you breathe. Do nothing except maintain awareness.
The first technique is “active” in that you are consciously directing energy to your body and mind - it is a “doing” method.
The second technique is “receptive” in that you are “listening” or “observing” the breath doing what it normally, naturally does. It is a “being” method.
Most people who practice this technique will find that within seconds their minds will wander. This is the training ground for learning to bring the mind back to the object of focus, in this case the breath. If we whip the mind back to the object over time we will create resentment and tension. It is far more effective to simply favor the object of focus. There is a balance between relaxing too much that the mind drifts away and using just the right amount of concentration. As with all things practice will refine your understanding of what works best for you.
I suggest practicing the first method for a given amount of time then shifting to the second method for the same time. The active method helps to bring energy into the body, the receptive method helps to let the body adapt and make focus and observation natural.
Regular practice will bring results. Even 1 minute a day in the beginning is better than nothing. It is also better to practice every day than doing 1 long session a week. Regularity helps the body and mind adapt easier. Whatever you do, 1 minute or 1 hour - do your best to give 100% to the time you allocate.
These simple techniques will over the weeks and months bring an enormous amount of depth to the rest of the concepts discussed on this site, but this insight will only be forthcoming with regular practice.
These methods are what will make positive thinking work. They are the engine behind emotional mastery and neurological remapping. They are the foundation of any spiritual exploration and higher consciousness development. Over time I will be adding new techniques to this site but the foundation of them all will rely on the practices of focus and observation.
If you've been plagued by a problem in your life, especially if you've had that problem for a long time, you might assume that you'd be eager to get rid of it. You might think so, but actually, when you get right down to it, the contrary is often more true.
People get used to having their problems, even though they may be uncomfortable and you would like to get rid of them. You see, you may KNOW how to be depressed, or anxious, or sick. Those feelings, although uncomfortable, are familiar to you.
Contemplating something else is a bit scary. It may be hard to even imagine what life would be like without the problem that has been with you for so long. Contemplating and taking action to do or be something else is even scarier still.
In fact, sometimes the problem becomes your identity. The way you talk about having or working on your problem may sound like it is your career. When you talk about "my depression" it may sound as if it is your best friend. It is easy to slip into this habit, and to think that the problem is part of your life forever.
The belief that you can't change may be so strong that it blocks all attempts let go of that problem. Before any useful work can be done to change the situation, you first need to understand what that problem "means" to you.
There is a series of questions I often ask when I'm beginning to work with someone who has had a long-lasting problem or one they report has stubbornly resisted all their efforts at letting it go:
1. What will happen if you let it go?
Imagine and consider all the possibilities, both good and bad.
2. What will happen if you don't let it go?
Again, imagine and consider all the possibilities-good and bad.
3. What won't happen if you let it go?
What will you miss?
4. What won't happen if you don't let it go?
Does having this problem "protect" you in some way?
These questions help you identify the positives and negatives you associate with having the problem and getting rid of it. Sometimes there are clues about why it is hanging on. There may be a belief that you'll lose something important by getting rid of the problem.
Ultimately you need to believe that your life will be better without the problem than with it. Once you believe that and are really ready to take that leap of faith to let it go, you CAN change it.
You must be willing to risk being somewhat uncomfortable, and to let go of the problem you know so well in order to discover the life you want to have. Until you are willing to to that, you won't be ready to change.
It's actually a lot like a swinging on a trapeze. You have to be ready to let go of the swing you are one, to get where you want to go. When you are ready, there are a lot of methods out there to help you. Let it go...The outcome is definitely worth it.
What Mask Are You Wearing? By Michelle Weimer lonetreecoach.com
It has been said that the eyes are the window to our souls ~Unfortunately so many people wear masks to hide who they are that no one ever gets to see their beautiful soul~ Sadly enough, not only does no one else get to know the real them, but they often go through life wondering who they themselves are because they have lost touch with their own selves from spending so much of their lives wearing a mask and pretending to be someone they are not~
We often begin wearing a mask for protection but who are we really protecting ourselves from, the world around us or our own selves? Are we trying to hide who we are or how we feel? Or could we be wearing a mask in hopes of becoming something we are not?
There can be times when pretending to be something isn't always a bad thing~ Of course we wear different hats, there's nothing wrong with that and wearing a badge of courage or faith are good too~ They can help us through any situation~ I even believe that pretending to be confident can often lead to actually being confident~ Just as putting on a happy face when inside we don't feel very happy can often lift our mood~ So when is it bad? When you wear a mask and don't ever let anyone know who you really are~ When you need help but are too ashamed to ask for it~ When you look at your life and feel that you're living a lie~ When wearing a mask begins to hurt you, then it is time to take it off~
It So I challenge you to take that mask off and put it away. It's time to find out who you really are inside~ Let your soul speak to you and don't be afraid to be yourself~ Be proud of it and be confident enough to allow the person who is inside to come out and show the world who it is~Go ahead and put on a different hat, it's great to be many things, but don't hide your soul...
How we look is so important in this culture. It becomes how we see ourselves. The image in the mirror seems like that is who we are. We carry this image around with us inside our heads, and when we think of “me,” we think of this image. We have many self-images, and the image of what we look like is perhaps the strongest. We are most identified with this self-image in part because identification with the body is so strong and because the mind needs something to pin the idea of “me” on. This inner picture of ourselves strengthens and holds in place the idea of “me.” Without this inner image of what we look like, the idea of “me” weakens and can’t be maintained as easily.
You may have experienced this at times in your life when you were away from mirrors for a while, like when you were camping or in a more primitive living situation. You begin to experience yourself more as you truly are than as an image you hold in your mind of yourself. There is a big difference between the experience of yourself and the experience of the image of yourself. The image is an idea. It’s flat, un-alive, and you have to work hard to maintain it (especially without mirrors to help you), while the experience of yourself is mysterious and ever-present. It is just there; you don’t have to work at producing it. It is experienced as what is looking out of your eyes. This is very mysterious—what is this that is looking out of your eyes? Just take a moment and experience what it is like to look out of your eyes and experience yourself that way. What a different experience this is from imagining what you look like in your mind’s eye .
When you experience yourself looking out of your eyes, you experience your body very differently than when you imagine your body or when you see it in the mirror. Stop a moment and just look at the miracle that is your body with your eyes, without any comments or thoughts about your body. What do you experience? You are likely to experience the body as something apart from yourself, something you look upon with amazement. Whose hand is that? Whose leg is that? The body appears to be more of a vehicle for who you are than who you are. And so it is. The body is a vehicle for who you really are. The mind pretends that this vehicle is who you are, but the body is only a temporary carrier for the consciousness that is looking out of your eyes.
That’s the truth, and the mind takes us away from this truth through the inner image, which is made possible by mirrors or other reflective surfaces. Without these, you wouldn’t know what you look like. You would just experience yourself without this inner image. Your mind would still form other self-images, perhaps even a made-up picture of yourself based on how people react to you, but it would be much harder to identify with an image that was not constantly being reinforced by mirrors.
We don’t have to get rid of mirrors (although living without them for a while is helpful) to begin to live more from the real experience of ourselves rather than from the image we have of ourselves. We can just see the truth of this and consciously choose to put our attention on what is looking out of our eyes rather than on what we think other people see when they look at us.
This is a dramatically different way of experiencing yourself, and it will allow you to be much more present to life. Maintaining a self-image is hard work, and it interferes with being very present to whatever else is going on. When we give our attention to our self-images and thoughts, we miss so much else that is going on. It may seem like nothing is going on, but that is the mind’s take on every moment: “Nothing’s going on here, so let’s think about something interesting.” The mind doesn’t give life a chance to reveal its richness. When you give life your full attention instead of your thoughts, you discover the happiness and contentment you have always wanted but have never been able to find in the mind’s world. Ideas just can’t substitute for real life.
